01Who is responsible

02The contact form
When you send a project brief, the form collects your name, email, optional company, the project type, budget range, timeline and your message. They are used only to reply to you and, if we work together, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before a contract.
The brief is delivered to my inbox by email through Resend, an email delivery provider. It is not stored in a database on this site. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation is useful, and for the periods the law requires if we sign a contract.
To stop abuse, the address your request comes from is kept in memory for up to an hour to limit the number of messages per visitor.
03Analytics
Visits are counted with OpenPanel. The tracking script is loaded from openpanel.dev, and the data it collects is sent to and stored on my own server (openpanel-api.diogoduarte.net). It records pages viewed, outbound link clicks and general device information, to understand what people read. It is not used for advertising and the data is not sold or shared.
04Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address to serve the pages and protect them from attacks.
Cloudflare and Resend act as processors on my behalf and may handle data outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards set out in their own data processing terms.
05Cookies
The site sets one functional cookie, locale, to remember the language you picked. It holds no personal data.
06Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email diogo@diogoduarte.net and I will reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
07Disputes
Consumers can use the electronic complaints book (www.livroreclamacoes.pt) and, for consumer disputes, an alternative dispute resolution entity listed at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
