Software & web development · Portugal

Websites and software built for real businesses.

I design, build and look after the websites, online stores and custom systems that small businesses run on. The person you talk to is the person who builds it, and I own the project end to end, from the first call to long after launch.

360Películas

An online store, its operations and an AI support agent.

  • Tickets when the bot needs a human
  • FAQ the bot answers from
  • Human takeover mid-conversation

Website demos for local businesses

Each one uses the business's real copy and photos, to show the owner what their site could be before it is built. Some go further, with a working back office on sample data.

Sites I look after

WordPress sites for businesses that need them to stay fast, secure and up to date.

From the workbench

Client platforms, open source and tools built to scratch an itch.

02Services

What I can do for you.

Most projects start with one of these and end up touching two or three. I own all of it, so nothing gets lost between handovers.

  1. 01

    Websites & online stores

Fast, well-written sites that bring in customers: showcase sites, booking and menu pages, and stores that take orders and payments. Designed around your real photos and copy, and easy to keep up to date.

    • Business websites
    • E-commerce
    • SEO foundations
    • Multilingual

In practice360Películas sells pre-cut window tints across Portugal from a store built end to end.

  2. 02

Custom software, SaaS & back offices

The system your business actually runs on: back offices, client portals, internal tools and multi-tenant SaaS. Scoped tightly, built to be maintained, with the permissions, audit trail and reports it needs.

    • Back offices
    • Client portals
    • SaaS
    • Integrations

In practiceBFRI gives service companies one place for projects, clients and reports, with a subdomain per customer.

  3. 03

    Automation & AI integrations

Take the repetitive work off your team: support agents that answer on WhatsApp, automatic orders to suppliers, documents and reports that write themselves. AI where it earns its place, with a human in the loop.

    • AI support agents
    • Workflows
    • API integrations
    • Reports

In practiceThe 360Películas WhatsApp agent answers from a curated FAQ and hands over to a person mid-conversation.

  4. 04

    WordPress care & codebase rescue

Updates, security, backups and fixes for sites that have to stay up. And for the project nobody wants to touch: I read it, find what is actually broken, and get it back to a state where features can land again.

    • Maintenance
    • Security
    • Audits
    • Upgrades

In practiceI manage mcls.pt and maintain gurumood.pt.

  5. 05

    Infrastructure & delivery

Deployments that take an afternoon should take a commit. Hosting, domains and email, containers, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring for when something breaks.

    • CI/CD
    • Docker
    • Cloudflare & AWS
    • Monitoring

In practiceAt a previous agency, automating the pipeline cut deployment time by roughly a third.

03Process

How a project runs.

No surprises on price, no silence for weeks, no handover to a stranger at the end.

  1. 1

    A short call

You tell me about the business, the problem and what done looks like. If I am not the right fit, I say so and, where I can, point you to someone who is.

  2. 2

    A fixed-scope proposal

In writing: what gets built, what does not, the price and the dates. Bigger projects are split into phases, so you can stop after any of them.

  3. 3

    Weekly demos

You get a private preview link from the first week and see real progress every week, not a big reveal at the end. Feedback lands while it is still cheap to act on.

  4. 4

    Launch & look after

Deploy, domains, analytics and a handover you can actually use. After launch, a maintenance plan or help on demand, from the same person who built it.

04About

One senior developer. The whole product.

Diogo Duarte, founder of Diogo Duarte Lda.
Diogo Duarte — Diogo Duarte Lda.

I have spent the last five years building production software: e-commerce platforms with custom page builders, back offices a real business depends on, and multi-tenant SaaS with the audit logs and GDPR work nobody puts on a landing page.

In 2026 I registered Diogo Duarte, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda., so work comes with proper contracts and invoices. It is still me doing the building.

I also run two products of my own, so I answer the support messages as well as write the code. That tends to change what you build.

05FAQ

Questions clients ask first.

Something else on your mind? Ask it in the form below.

How is a project priced?

After the first call you get a fixed-scope proposal with a fixed price. Changes along the way are quoted before they are built, so the number only moves when you decide it should.

How long does it take?

It depends on the scope, and the proposal says it in dates, not vague weeks. A showcase site is much quicker than a custom system, and large projects ship in phases so something useful goes live early.

Who owns the code and the accounts?

The ownership terms are set out in the proposal before any work starts. As a rule, domains and service accounts are registered in your business's name, so you are never locked in.

What happens after launch?

You can take a monthly maintenance plan (updates, security, backups, small changes) or ask for help only when you need it. Either way, it is the same person who built it who picks up.

Do you invoice as a company?

Yes. Contracts and invoices are issued by Diogo Duarte, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda., a company registered in Portugal (NIPC 519603656).

Is it really just you?

Yes, and that is the point. You talk to the person designing and writing the software, not to an account manager. On larger projects I bring in trusted collaborators, for design, copywriting or extra development capacity, and I stay your single point of contact.

Do you work with clients outside Portugal?

Yes. Work happens remotely, in Portuguese or English, with calls and weekly demos over video.

06Contact

Tell me what you are building.

A few lines about the project and a rough budget are enough. I reply within two working days with whether I am the right fit, what I would do first, and what it would cost.
